Knitwear, hosiery production on the decline in Armenia
Knitwear, hosiery and cotton fabrics production continues dropping in Armenia, according to the latest official statistics.
Some 3,494,300 units of knitwear were manufactured in the country from January to October 2018, down by 5.1 percent from the same period last year.
According to the figures, hosiery output declined by 31.9 percent this year. Armenia produced 8,135,000 pairs of hosiery in the first ten months of this year, whereas some 11,952,800 pairs were produced during the same months of 2017.
The production volumes of cotton fabrics also dropped by 5.3 percent this year to stand at 3.6 tons.
