Armenia reduces electricity prices for needy families
Armenia’s Public Services Regulatory Commission has lowered electricity prices for low-income families by 10,01 drams per kWh.
The regulator adopted the decision at a meeting on Thursday, having discussed the issue with the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources.
The day-time tariff will be reduced from 40 drams to 29,99 drams per kWh, while the night-time tariff will amont to 19,99 drams instead of the current 30 drams.
The new tariffs will take effect from February 1, 2019.
