Snow, snowstorm hit some roads in Armenia
Armenia’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies reports snowfalls on the roads of Tashir, Ashotsk, Akhuryan, Artik, Aragats, Aparan, Stepanavan and Hrazdan districts and Artashavan roadway as of 9:30am Thursday.
Snowstorm reigns in the Kuchak-Aparan highway. The Sevan roads and Vardenyants Pass are partly covered with black ice.
Vardenyants Pass is difficult to pass for passenger vehicles amid snowstorm, while it is shut down for cargo and trailer trucks.
Road maintenance works are underway, the ministry said, adding all the other interstate and republican roads in the country are open for traffic.
