Melania Trump's flesh-coloured trousers create awkward optical illusion
First Lady Melania Trump joined President Donald Trump on an unannounced visit to US troops Iraq, and her sartorial choices caused some people to do a double take as she landed back at the White House yesterday.
Melania, who is no stranger to bold fashion moves, wore a green emerald coat and a pair of golden leather trousers - which some thought looked like she was wearing nothing at all, Daily Mirror reports.
The trousers are a similar shade to her bronzed skin tone, but it's clear from the wrinkles around the knees that she hasn't opted to go half-naked in public after all.
One Twitter user wrote: "Melania wearing only green coat and underwear! No trousers or skirt. OMG Trump family is the weirdest.
Another said: "Can someone tell me why @FLOTUS got off of Marine One without pants and shoes and wearing sunglasses at night? I’m legit curious."
"Did Melania forget her pants? Coming off the plane at the base wearing a very short green cost with nothing else on??" a third said.
Others rushed to FLOTUS' defence: "You are a beautiful classy lady inside and out ! We love you too ! Thank you and loved the leather pants ! So many are jealous of you . Don’t listen to the haters".
Melania is known for making fashion statements, and often turns heads with her glamorous looks.
