Emergencies ministry gives updates on road conditions in Armenia
Some highways are difficult to pass in the territory of Armenia as of 9am Monday, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks and difficult to pass for passenger vehicles.
Sotk-Karvachar highway is hardly passable.
Black ice has covered Sisian-Zanger highway.
It’s foggy on the town of Artik. Snowstorm has reportedly hit Shenkani-Ria Taza highway.
Snowfalls are reported in Jermuk and Aparan towns, as well as in Amasia district and Ashotsk village.
Drivers are strictly recommended to drive to regions exceptionally on winter tires.
According to the Roads Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open only for passenger vehicles.
The General Department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia reports stuck vehicles on the Russian side.
