Tom Catena officially registered marriage in Armenia
Doctor Tom Catena, the 2017 Aurora Prize Laureate, and his wife have officially registered their marriage in Yerevan, Armenia.
“So happy to finally have our marriage with Nasima officially registered in Yerevan, Armenia. Thank you all for being with us on this special day,” Catena tweeted on Tuesday, sharing images from the ceremony at the Civil Registry Office.
To note, Tom Catena, a Catholic missionary from New York, was named as Aurora Prize Laureate on May 28, 2017. He saved thousands of lives as the sole surgeon permanently based in Sudan’s war-ravaged Nuba Mountains where humanitarian aid is restricted.
To note, the Aurora Prize, granted by the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative, is created on behalf of the survivors of the Armenian Genocide and in gratitude to their saviors.
