Some roads closed, hardly passable in Armenia
Some highways are closed or difficult to pass in the territory of Armenia as of Friday morning, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a daily road condition update.
Vardenyats Pass is shut down for trailer trucks and hardly passable for light vehicles.
Ashotsk and Amasia districts in Shirak Province, Aparan-Aragats, Spitak-Vanadzor and Vanadzor-Alaverdi highways are partly covered with black ice.
Drivers are strictly recommended to drive to regions exceptionally on winter tires.
According to the Roads Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed for all types of vehicles.
The General Department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia reports 238 vehicles, including 158 trucks, 79 cars and 1 bus, stuck on the Russian side.
