Armenia’s salt production on the decline
Salt production volumes dropped by 28.9% in Armenia during January-November 2018 to stand at 20 716.5 tons, according to figures released by the country’s National Statistic Service.
To note, some 29 120.0 tons of salt were produced in the country in the same period of 2017.
Meanwhile, the statistics show the volumes of sugar production grew by 19.2% in January-November 2018. A total of 57 991.0 tons of sugar was produced in the country in the accounting period compared to the 48 630.0 tons produced in January-November 2017.
