Armenian ambassador hands credentials to Donald Trump
Ambassador of Armenia Varuzhan Nersesyan presented his credentials to President of the United States Donald J. Trump on January 11.
Ambassador Nersesyan conveyed to President Trump the best regards on behalf of the president, prime minister and the people of Armenia and noted that it is a great honor and responsibility for him to represent Armenia in the United States during this crucial period, the Armenian Embassy said.
During a brief conversation at the credentialing ceremony President Trump and Ambassador Nersesyan highlighted the steps towards expanding bilateral relations between Armenia and the U.S. in various areas. The interlocutors emphasized the role of the Armenian-American community in enhancing the friendship between the two nations.
Varuzhan Nersesyan was confirmed as Armenia’s new Ambassador to the U.S. on 25 October 2018.
