PM: One thing is clear – the number of ministries will be cut down
According to the Armenian law, the government is considered formed when the two-thirds of its members are appointed, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a Cabinet meeting on Thursday.
“We will follow that path: the two-thirds of the government members will be appointed, while the one-third will not be appointed until we fully clarify the issues on changes in the government structure,” he said.
The PM stressed that one thing is clear – the number of ministries will be cut down.
According to Pashinyan, this process should proceed smoothly and in a predictable way.
“For this reason, we shall follow such a roadmap,” he said.
As reported earlier, the government plans to dissolve four ministries in Armenia to fold their mission into other government institutions – the Ministries of Sport, Culture, Diaspora and Agriculture.
