Friday morning update on road conditions
Armenia’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies reports snowfalls on the roads of Vardenis, Yeghegnadzor, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Kapan and Meghri regions as of 9:30am Friday.
The Gavar, Dilijan, Abovyan, Yeghvard and Talin roadways are partly ice-covered.
Snowstorm fell across the roads of Ashotsk region, Artik-Aragats and Kuchak-Mirak road sections.
Vardenyats Pass is shut down amid a severe snowstorm and extremely low visibility.
Road maintenance works are underway, the ministry said.
All the other interstate and republican highways in the country are open for traffic.
