EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus welcomes Armenian, Azerbaijani FM’s talks
EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar has welcomed the meeting between Armenian, Azerbaijani FMs over the Karabakh talks.
“Encouraged by the recent meeting in Paris of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Preparing the populations for peace is crucial and the EU is committed to supporting this process,” the EU official tweeted on Friday.
To remind, following the ministers’ meeting, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs released a statement reading in part: “The Ministers discussed a wide range of issues related to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and agreed upon the necessity of taking concrete measures to prepare the populations for peace.”
