Car bomb hits Damascus district near Russian embassy
An explosion hit Damascus on Thursday, the second such attack on the Syrian capital in less than a week, Syrian state media reported.
State-run Sana news agency described the attack as a “terrorist bombing,” that struck the Al Adawi district. The Russian embassy is located nearby.
According to the report, no casualties have been reported. It said an explosive-rigged vehicle was responsible for the blast, which caused "material damage."
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said at least four people have been wounded. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
