Snow hits some roads in Armenia
Armenia’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies reports snowfalls on the roads of Artik, Maralik, Talin, Baghramyan, Spitak, Aparan, Vanadzor, Abovyan, Sevan, Chambarak, Gavar, Martuni, Yeghegnadzor, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Kapan and Meghri regions as of Tuesday, 9:30am.
The Stepanavan curves are partly covered with black ice. Vardenyants Pass is shut down for cargo and trailer trucks and is difficult to pass for passenger vehicles due to snowstorm.
Road maintenance works are underway, the ministry said.
All the other interstate and republican highways in the country are open for traffic.
