Armenia, Russia sign contract on purchase of Su-30SM fighter jets: media
Moscow and Yerevan have signed a contract on the delivery of four Su-30SM fighter jets to Armenia which the country will get in 2020, Kommersant Russian newspaper reported.
According to the newspaper, the Russian side has made serious concessions: Armenia was not only granted a loan but also purchased the jets at domestic Russian prices.
The newspaper calls the deal “a key contract” for the Armenian authorities, particularly for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, since for the first time in decades Armenia’s air forces have acquired unused avionics.
The contract also envisages trainings for Armenian pilots at Russian military facilities.
