US analyst: Erdogan's future in Turkey does not look bright
Famous American scholar and analyst Michael Rubin, famous for his harsh criticism of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, took to Twitter to make another post, causing outrage among Turkish media, Ermenihaber reports.
The analyst tweeted the link of his latest article titled “Erdogan's future in Turkey does not look bright” which was published by the Washington Examiner on 30 January, writing: “Erdogan’s future in Turkey does not look bright: Will Erdogan die in office, be exiled, imprisoned, or executed.”
The article by the US columnist strongly criticises Erdogan for the policies implemented inside Turkey.
“Dictators may at first glance appear secure in their power but, while democrats awake every morning confident in the legitimacy and security of their tenure, dictators must rise each day realizing it could be their last: None ever expects the heart attack, assassination, or coup that will end their rule, but they can be assured one or the other will come,” Rubin said in the article, stressing Erdogan may suffer the fate of former Turkish Prime Minister Adnan Menderes, who was executed.
