Armenian wrestlers to compete at prestigious int’l championship
Armenian athletes are set to take part in the Henri Deglane Challenge, a prestigious international Greco-Roman wrestling championship to be held in Nice, France on February 1-4, the National Olympic Committee told Panorama.am.
Led by head coach Levon Julfalakyan, seven Greco-Roman wrestlers – Rudik Mkrtchyan (55 kg), Gevorg Gharibyan (60 kg), Karen Aslanyan (67 kg), Arsen Julfalakyan (77 kg), Maksim Manukyan (87 kg), Artur Shahinyan (97 kg) and Hrant Kalachyan (72 kg) – will be taking the mat this weekend.
This is the first test for Armenian wrestlers ahead of the official competitions this year.
