Issues of Armenian-Ukrainian bilateral agenda discussed in Yerevan
Armenian - Ukrainian relations serve as a firm basis for further deepening of bilateral ties, Speaker of the Armenian parliament Ararat Mirzoyan stated at a meeting with Ambassador of Ukraine to Armenia Petro Lytvyn on Monday.
Highlighting the further development of the inter-parliamentary relations, the NA President assured that the Parliamentary Friendship Group to be formed in the future would have its significant role in activation of bilateral contacts.
As the parliament press service reports, Ukranian Ambassador, in turn, assured that Ukraine is concerned over the development and strengthening of mutual relations, documenting that his country completely supports the ongoing processes in Armenia. Petro Lytvyn expressed his readiness for further expansion and deepening of inter-parliamentary ties and emphasized the cooperation on the international platforms.
The interlocutors also discussed a number of programmes on bilateral agenda, particularly in the spheres of science, culture, economy, tourism and issues concerning the steps to be taken newest information technologies, recorded with satisfaction the growth of trade turnover volumes between Armenia and Ukraine.
The sides highly assessed the role of Ukraine's Armenian community in deepening of relations, in the public-political, cultural, scientific-educational and other spheres of the country.
