Mkhitaryan thanks the medical staff, coaches and team-mates for the support during recovery
After the recovery from injury Armenian national team captain and Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan looked sharp in possession and guided Arsenal’s youth team to a 3-0 half-time lead before adverse weather conditions at Meadow Park forced the referee to abandon the fixture at the break.
Arsenal FC has interviewed Mkhitaryan after his comeback
“I'm thankful to everyone who has been working with me. To the medical staff, to the fitness coach and everyone, even to my team-mates. They were supporting me every day. It's life, everything is happening, and you can get injured or something like that. I hope that no one gets injured any more and the team can be fully fit for the next games,” the Armenian has said.
Speaking of the match, Mkhitaryan regretted that the match didn’t end. “The game was called off but it was a great first half. I think we did very well. We could improve in some aspects but we scored three goals, were playing very good football and could've scored more,” added Mkhitaryan.
