Alterative energy a promising sector for Armenia, president says in Paris
On a working visit to Paris, France, President Armen Sarkissian of Armenia met today with famous French businessman Henri Proglio, the former Chairman of the Board and CEO of Electricité de France and former CEO of Veolia Environment, the presidential office told Panorama.am.
The Armenian president and the French entrepreneur discussed the cooperation opportunities and prospects in the fields of nature protection, energy and effective management of water resources.
Sarkissian stressed particularly the importance of the great potential in the alternative energy sector and the possibility of implementing joint projects, highlighting that Armenia is rich of renewable energy resources, and the alternative energy is a promising business opportunity for the country.
The sides agreed to arrange the French businessman’s visit to Armenia in the next few months to get acquainted with the existing opportunities, continue the discussions and make the partnership more substantial.
