Armenian president to take part in Munich Security Conference
President Armen Sarkissian of Armenia will conduct a working visit to Germany to participate at the official opening of the Munich Security Conference, his office said.
The Munich Security Conference is a reputable and influential platform which every year gathers under its roof leaders of multiple states and governments, political, public figures, diplomats, and experts of the security area. At this representative forum, participants discuss issues related to security, reflected in the current challenges existing in this area.
On the sidelines of the conference, President Sarkissian will hold a series of meetings with his counterparts from different states and other high-ranking officials.
During his working visit to Germany, the Armenian president is also scheduled to visit the oldest university of Germany – Heidelberg University, where he will deliver remarks and later will respond to the questions from the audience.
Sarkissian will also hold meetings with the scientific and business circles, will visit the European Southern Observatory – one of the largest centers of astronomic studies.
