Agriculture to be one of the main directions of Artsakh economic growth, former PM says
Former Prime Minister of Artsakh Republic believes the agriculture sector will be among the main drivers for the country’s economic growth, Artsakhpress agency reported.
Harutyunyan’s remarks came during a lecture on "Economic Perspectives and Development Vision of Artsakh” at the Armenian State University of Economics.
"We have been able to move from monoculture to more valuable crops and to ensure crop rotation in recent years. We still have tens of thousands of uncultivated land in Artsakh. We view pomegranate production as strategic because pomegranate production has a competitive advantage in Artsakh," the source quotes him as saying.
Harutyunyan added that agriculture in Artsakh will be one of the main directions for the economic growth.
