Pashinyan: Government's economic revolution concept perceived by Armenian society
The economic revolution concept or resolution proposed by the new government is largely perceived by the Armenian society, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during today’s Cabinet meeting, commenting on the government’s five-year action plan adopted by the parliament on Thursday.
The PM said the government is yet to adopt a list of measures stemming from the program, stressinng the need of distinguishing the proposed steps from the measures contributing to an economic revolution.
Pashinyan tasked to revise all the investment proposals, reveal the investment problems and centralize the information at the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments.
The PM also instructed the government members to map out simplified regulations to deal with the gas, water and electricity accessibility issues, among other things.
He also urged more efforts towards establishing the Armenian Investment Fund. The PM also called for a specific focus on reduction of bank interest rates.
Pashinyan stressed the need to step up the creation of training centers and boosting the activities of the existing ones that develop business skills among the population.
He also gave instructions related to the agriculture sector, highlighting drip irrigation, anti-hail nets and the introduction of new agricultural technologies.
