FM Mnatsakanyan held meetings with high-level officials from US, France
Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who is attending the Munich Security Conference, held a meeting with US Senator Robert Menendez, member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and longtime legislative leader on Armenian issues.
As the foreign ministry reported, discussed were issues related to Armenian-American partnership, highlighting the role of Armenian community in the US. The interlocutors exchanged thoughts on topics of international and regional agenda, the protection of the rights of religious minorities in the Middle East among them.
On the same day, FM Mnatsakanyan had a meeting with Philippe Étiennea, the diplomatic adviser to the French President. The parties have highlighted the importance of the EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) that provides opportunities for cooperation with EU member states in number of spheres.
FM Mnatsakanyan reiterated the commitment of Armenia on exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict under the auspices of the Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship, in this context underscoring the efforts of France along with Russia and the US.
