OSCE Chairperson-in-Office plans visits to Baku and Yerevan
The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, the Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak plans visits to Yerevan and Baku. As TASS agency reported, Miroslav Lajcak announced about this in Moscow at a joint press conference following talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
“Slovakia fully backs the OSCE Minsk Group efforts to solve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict through peaceful means. And I hold regular meetings with the Minsk Group Co-Chairs,” Lajcak said, adding the discussions will continue in the first half of March when he arrives in Baku and Yerevan.
He added that there is a "new situation" in Armenia following December's snap parliamentary election which saw the Armenian government receive a very strong mandate.
"I want my visit to help determine what can be expected, what results can be achieved in this sense," Lajcak explained.
