PM Pashinyan, Minsk Group Co-Chairs highlight the implementation of agreements on maintaining the ceasefire regime
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received on Wednesday the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov, Stéphane Visconti, Andrew Schofer, and Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office. As the press department at the government reports, the PM welcomed the Co-Chairs visit to Armenia and highlighted the mediators’ role as the only internationally mandated format of the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process.
The Minsk Group Co-Chairs congratulated Pashinyan on victory of his “My Step” alliance in the December parliamentary elections. Pashinyan, in turn, briefed the mediators on details of his informal meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held in January in Davos.
The parties exchanged views on establishing relevant atmosphere conductive to the Nagorno Karabakh peace process and outlined upcoming steps. During the meeting, the interlocutors highlighted the implementation of the reached agreements on maintaining the ceasefire regime.
