Armenians pay tribute to victims of Sumgait pogroms
Armenians are paying tribute to the victims of the Sumgait pogroms perpetrated by Azerbaijan in 1988, laying flowers at the monument in Tsitsernakaberd commemorating the innocent Armenians who fell victim to the massacre.
On the 31st anniversary of the tragedy, Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan accompanied by Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan and top officials of the country visited the Stepanakert Memorial Complex and laid flowers at the monument of the innocent victims.
