Armenia’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies reports snowfalls on the roads of Ashotsk, Akhuryan, Artik, Maralik, Talin, Baghramyan, Armavir, Yeghvard, Aparan, Aragats, Spitak, Tumanyan, Vanadzor, Noyemberyan, Ijevan, Berd, Dilijan, Sevan, Hrazdan, Abovyan, Ararat, Sisian and Goris regions as of Thursday morning.

Snowstorm hit the Abovyan, Gavar, Ashotsk, Sevan, Aparan and Aragats roadways, as well as Keti Pass.

Abovyan-Sevan and Aparan-Aragats highways are difficult to pass due to snowstorm, with drivers urged to avoid travel on the roads.

Fog descended over Meghri Pass, reducing visibility to 50 meters.

Vardenyants Pass is shut down for cargo and trailer trucks and difficult to pass for passenger vehicles amid snowstorm. 

Road clearing operations are underway, the ministry said, adding all the other interstate and republican highways in the country are open for traffic.
