Armenia’s Vardenyats pass, Berd-Tchambarak road closed for traffic
Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies reports that as of 17:00 Saturday Vardenyats pass is closed for traffic due to intense snowing and lack of visibility.
Goris-Sisian roadway is difficult to pass for passenger vehicles and closed for trucks with trailers. Blizzard is observed on the road section from Sevan peninsula to Aparan and Gavar, as well as Tchambarak mountain pass.
According to the source, all interstate and republican roads are open for traffic. Road clearing works with chemical salt and sand are underway.
