Chanel’s Gerard Wertheimer to visit Armenia on Saturday
Gerard Wertheimer, the co-owner of the world’s top luxury brands, Chanel, will arrive in Armenia on Saturday, March 9, at the invitation of President Armen Sarkissian, the presidential press service said.
In his first ever trip to Armenia, the French businessman is expected to get familiarized with the country’s culture, historical and cultural sights, as well as to study the light industry sector of the country for possible cooperation.
Gerard and his brother Alain Wertheimer are the co-owners of the House of Chanel, co-founded by their grandfather Pierre Wertheimer, who was an early business partner of Coco Chanel.
Chanel specializes in cloth design, manufacture of fashion accessories and perfume. Presently, it is one of the world’s oldest and most demanded brands.
