Temperatures to soar to 17C in Yerevan today as tropical air sweeps country
Temperatures are set to soar in Armenia from Monday as a tropical hot air mass sweeps across the country, bringing balmy conditions.
Highs of 24C are forecast for Meghri, Agarak, Kapan and nearby settlements (Syunik), with temperatures expected to rise to 22C in Ijevan, Berd, Bagratashen and surrounding settlements (Tavush) starting today.
Meteorologists predict no precipitation in the country from Monday to Thursday. Southwest wind speed is 3-8 m/s.
Yerevan will also see no rains in the next few days, with temperatures expected to soar to 17C in the daytime on Monday.
