Armenian players victorious at the starting round of Tashkent Open
International chess competition dedicated to memory of Azimov started in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent with 73 chess players from 12 countries.
As the chess federation of Armenia reports, Armenian grandmaster Karen Grigoryan is the highest ranked player taking part in the competition. Among participants are Vahe Danielyan, young Armenian player who succeeded in number of recent tournaments in Iran.
Both Armenian players won their games in the starting round of the tournament held on Tuesday.
