Armenian women’s team suffer defeat at the final round of FIDE World Team Championship
The Armenian national women’s lost to Kazakhstan in the final round of the FIDE World Team Championship concluded in Astana, Kazakhstan. As the National Olympic Committee reported, Elina Danielyan, Anna Sargsyan and Siranush Ghukasyan suffered defeats, while Lilit Mkrtchyan won her game.
After 9 rounds played, the Armenian team took the 8th position with 4 points. Our team son the only victory against Egypt, drew with Hungary and Georgia and lost to Russia, China, Kazakhstan, India, USA and Ukraine.
China won the championship scoring maximum18 points out of 18 possible. Russia came the second with 14 points and Georgia - the third with 13 points.
