Armenia records 206 emergencies in one week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded a total of 353 cases from 11 to 17 March, of which 206 were emergency cases.
The number included 109 household calls, 139 fire calls, 49 road traffic accidents as a result of which 2 people died, 46 others suffered injuries, while 4 people were rescued due to rescue operations.
The past week saw 25 vehicles stuck amid adverse weather conditions. Rescuers provided assistance to 118 citizens, taking 61 vehicles to a safe place.
7 poisoning cases affecting 9 people were registered over the past week.
The ministry urges people to be as vigilant as possible and observe elementary safety rules both in everyday life and on roads.
