Pashinyan holds phone conversation with Nazarbayev
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia on Tuesday had a telephone conversation with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, hours after he announced his resignation, adding he would retain the key positions of head of Kazakhstan’s security council, chief of the ruling Nur Otan party and member of the Constitutional Council.
Pashinyan highlighted Nazarbayev’s undeniable role in bringing progress and prosperity to Kazakhstan and his valuable contribution to the integration process in the Eurasian region.
The Armenian PM highly appreciated the friendly relations between the two countries and his personal relations with Nazarbayev, wishing him every success in his future activities.
An agreement was reached to meet in Astana on the margins of the jubilee summit of the Eurasian Economic Union on May 29.
