Armenia to celebrate Citizen’s Day on last Saturday of April
The last Saturday of April will be celebrated as Citizen’s Day in Armenia, according to a decision approved by the government on Thursday.
Presenting the draft bill proposing amendments to the Law on Holidays and Memorial Days, Justice Minister Artak Zeynalyan sayid designation of a special day is conditioned with the mass civil disobedience campaign and ‘velvet revolution’ in Armenia in April-May 2018.
He also said in case May 1 falls on Saturday, the Citizen’s Day will be celebrated on the last Sunday of April.
