Yerevan among most popular cities for Russian school students at spring break
Yerevan has been ranked among the top travel destinations for Russian schoolchildren during the spring break, according to a study by travel agencies.
The analysts of the agencies have studied the air ticket sales from Moscow for the period of 23-31 March, focusing on those orders where at least one of the passengers was a 7 to 17-year old.
The study revealed that only 10 percent of Russian travellers with children prefer foreign trips during the spring break, RIA Novosti reports.
The most popular destinations include Prague, Riga, Istanbul, Baku, Athens, Berlin, Yerevan, Venice, Antalya and Copenhagen.
The air tickets for all those routes have fallen by around 6 percent in a year, the study shows.
Among the local destinations, Russians prefer the cites of Sochi, Krasnodar, Makhachkala, Simferopol, Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad, Kazan and St. Petersburg.
