Armenia’s security chief dismisses petrol business rumors
Director of the National Security Service Artur Vanetsyan dismisses media reports suggesting he and his family have a share in petrol businesses.
Speaking to reporters at a briefing on Friday, Vanetsyan stressed it will be ‘simply a disgrace’ if he starts suing people for disseminating fake news about him.
“I refute those reports and advise the media outlet [that spread the news] to come up with a dismissal too, since using my name to ensure more views is simply shameful. My family has no ties to the petrol and oil market,” he stressed.
Asked to comment on PM Nikol Pashinyan’s statement made at the meeting with Armenian community in Isfahan that there are some politicians in Armenia who are ‘foreign agents’, the security head said they are looking into the issue, meantime taking measures to reveal all individuals having ties with special services of foreign countries.
