Armenia’s crisis management center handles 339 calls in one week
The National Center for Crisis Management of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations responded to a total of 339 calls from 18 to 24 March, of which 195 were emergency cases.
The number included 114 household calls, 123 fire calls, 55 road traffic accidents as a result of which 2 people died, 70 others suffered injuries, while three people were saved due to rescue operations.
16 vehicles ended up stuck over the past week amid adverse weather conditions. Rescuers provided assistance to 46 citizens, taking 26 vehicles to a safe place.
7 poisoning cases affecting 14 people were recorded in the reporting period.
The ministry urges people to be as vigilant as possible and observe basic safety rules both in everyday life and on roads.
