Head coach outlines main targets ahead of the Greco-Roman wrestling team
The main goal of Armenia Greco-Roman wrestling team this year is the World Championship which is qualifying for the Olympic Games, head coach of the Levon Julfalakyan has told in an interview to National Olympic Committee.
“At this moment it doesn’t matter how many and what color of medals there will be from the European Championship. The most important for us are the Olympic qualifications the lion’s share of which will be raffled in the World Championship in Kazakhstan,” Julfalakyan has said.
Julfalakyan has also commented on the health condition of Artur Alexanyan, Olympic Champion a three-time World Champion and a four-time European Champion “Arthur has already begun training fully. I think everything is going to be well,” the head coach has said.
To remind, the Armenia Greco-Roman wrestling team spends its last training camp in Olympavan before the European Championship in Bucharest. Armenia will be represented by 1o athletes. The European Wrestling Championships will be held from April 8 to 14. The Greco-Roman wrestlers will start the struggle from April 12.
