PM questioned as a witness at the court hearing of the 2017 parliamentary election incident
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today called at Shengavit branch of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction. Nikol Pashinyan was questioned as a witness at the court hearing of the case on the incident that occurred between Yelk Alliance members and Artur Ayvazyan on March 31, 2017, two days before the parliamentary elections.
Upon completion of the interrogation, Prime Minister Pashinyan answered a journalist’s question on why he had come to the court: “I am not the one to decide on matters like this. I believe that every citizen of Armenia should appear in the court when notified by an investigator or the court.”
Answering a question on his being interrogated under the March 1 case, Nikol Pashinyan said, “Yes, including this court.”
