Criminal case launched against Pashinyan’s relative under his instruction at NSS
The criminal case launched against one of the relatives of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan under his instruction is at the National Security Service (NSS).
Panorama.am reached the service for comments on the identity of the suspect and the charges brought against him, but NSS spokesman Samson Galstyan said he could not provide more information on the case to media at the moment.
Earlier on Thursday, Pashinyan took to Facebook to reveal that under his instruction criminal proceedings have been initiated into an alleged abuse committed by one of his relatives, stating there is no doubt that the case will be fully investigated, and those responsible will be brought to justice.
"This is a new Armenia, and no one with close ties to the PM can be above the law or be privileged,” he said.
