Armenian PM, German Constitutional Court head discuss prospects for legal cooperation
The Armenian-German relations have recently intensified, as evidenced by the frequently reciprocated high-level visits and meetings, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a meeting with President of Germany's Constitutional Court Andreas Voßkuhle in Yerevan on Friday.
Pashinyan stressed the importance of yesterday’s ratification by the German Bundestag of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between the European Union and Armenia, noting that this would propel the ratification process in other EU-member states, the PM’s press service said.
Referring to the Armenian-German cooperation in the legal field, the PM noted that radical political changes have taken place in Armenia, aimed at establishing the rule of law and the institutional strengthening of democracy. In this context, he highlighted the ongoing judicial reform, as well as the exchange of international experiences, including the German know-how.
