Armenian airports see 7% growth in passenger flow in March
Armenia’s two airports saw an increase in passenger numbers in March 2019 against the same month of 2018.
Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport and Shirak Airport in the second largest city of Gyumri handled 199,855 passengers last month, up by 7% from March 2018, Armenia International Airports told Panorama.am.
In March this year, the passenger traffic through Zvartnots Airport accounted for 188,946 people – an increase of 7.6% over last March when flow stood at 175,605.
Shirak Airport welcomed 10,909 passengers last month, down by 2.1% from March 2018 when passenger traffic comprised 11,138 people.
Since the beginning of the year passenger flow at the two airports of Armenia has reached 578,575 people, marking an 10.2% increase from the same period last year.
Meanwhile, in January-March 2019 the total number of flights and landings in both airports also recorded a rise of 8.3% compared to the numbers of 2018.
