Armenian wrestler makes it to 1/8 final of European C’ship
Armenian wrestler Arsen Harutyunyan (61 kg) has started the European Championships with victory, the Wrestling Federation of Armenia told Panorama.am.
The Armenian athlete defeated his Ukrainian opponent Volodymyr Burukov 14-8 in the qualification round to make it through to the 1/8 final of the championship.
Harutyunyan is set to face Recep Topal from Turkey in the next round.
Another Armenian wrestler Varuzhan Kajoyan (74 kg) lost to Avtandil Kentchadze of Georgia in the qualification round.
