Meet new U.S. ambassador to Armenia
The U.S. Embassy in Armenia has released a video introducing Ambassador Lynne Tracy. It tells about the priorities of the newly-appointed U.S. envoy.
The ambassador said she is most excited to see the historic building of the Yerevan Opera House where she visited to watch Aram Khachaturian’s Sabre Dance.
“I first heard the world-famous Sabre Dance as a student, this peace remains a favourite of mine to this day. Cultural exchange is so important,” she says in the video.
Reflecting on the security cooperation between the U.S. and Armenia, Tracy highly appreciated Armenia’s commitment of troops to peace-keeping operations in Kosovo and Afghanistan and the cooperation with NATO and the UN.
“In today’s world it’s crucial to do all we can to work for peace and conflict resolution,” she said.
