Armenian Theater Workers’ Union implementing unique international project
The Armenian Theater Workers’ Union in collaboration with the EU Delegation to Armenia is implementing an international theater project aimed at bringing together actors from Armenia and eight EU member states in a single performance.
The project is unique in a sense that each actor from the participating countries will play in his/her native language in the performance, the union told Panorama.am.
The audience will be offered The Comedy of Pyramus and Thisbe, a performance based on William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream (staged by Hakob Ghazanchyan).
The play is expected to hit the stage not only in capital Yerevan, but also in other Armenian cities and towns, including Gyumri, Vanadzor, Gavar, Goris and Kapan.
The Yerevan performance is scheduled for April 17 at Hakob Paronyan State Musical Comedy Theater.
