PM dismisses the deputy health minister facing bribery charges
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decree on Saturday, dismissing Deputy Health Minister Arsen Davtyan from the post, the press department at the government reported.
As reported earlier, Deputy Health Minister of Armenia Arsen Davtyan was caught taking a bribe from the director of a medical facility at his office by security agents on March 30. Davtyan has been placed under arrest.
Due to large-scale intelligence operations, the security service revealed that the director of the Institute of Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, sought to gain the deputy minister’s patronage and to develop favorable working conditions with him.
