Temperatures set to drop sharply in Armenia in next few days
A new cyclone will hit Armenia on Tuesday, 16 April, causing temperatures to drop sharply in the country.
Metereologists forecast showers across the country from Tuesday to Saturday, with the cyclone to reach its peak on Wednesday, bringing torrential rains, thunderstorms and strong winds up to 15-20m/s.
Temperatures are set to decrease by 10-12 degrees in the daytime on 16 and 17 April, further dropping by 3-4 degrees on 20 April, the Hydromet Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
However, the service notifies farmers that no below-freezing temps are expected in the country’s valleys and foothills in the next five days.
