Armenia’s Tigran Petrosian finishes 6th at Reykjavik Open
The 2019 Reykjavik Open is over in Iceland, with 8 players, including Armenian GM Tigran Petrosian, tied for the top with 7 points, the Chess Federation of Armenia reported.
Romania’s Constantin Lupulescu grabbed the champion’s title after ending with the best tiebreaks of the 8 players. Firouzja Alireza of Iran finished second, followed by Swedish GM Nils Grandelius.
Petrosian took the 6th place after tiebreaks, while two other Armenian GMs Robert Hovhannisyan and Sergei Movsesian came 9th and 10th, respectively.
